Jymi Update

Jymi and M. Hadassah left on Friday and has now safely made it to Yanji. Praise God! We can continue to partner with them both by praying for them and encouraging them. The following are prayer requests from Jymi:

Prayer Request

1. May God stir up a generation of Christians in Yanji that have a crazy desire to worship Him and be equipped to reach out to the people of NK when He opens the gates.

2. Let their cafe be a place where customers can relax and open their hearts to the gospel through our words, actions and love.

3. Pray for M. Hadassah that she will continue to draw strength, wisdom, peace and passion from the Lord.

4. Salvation of my parents, brother, distant relatives and my grandmother.

5. Dan (Han), my caretaker. He will be my personally accountability, my connection to my church (GCC), and my messenger. Pray for strength, clarity, and heart brokenness among us.

6. My personal time with God. May it be fruitful and filled with joy. I will be having a lot of downtime by myself and during that downtime, I want to commit to the Lord. =)

Costa Rica 2012 Applications Available!

GCC Missions in COSTA RICA 2012 with the Abraham Project!

Dates: Sat, Jan 7 – Sat, Jan 14 2012 [please note date change for return from 1/17 to 1/14]

Approx. Cost: $1200

Application due date: Oct. 23 (including $75 non refundable application fee)

Team Leader: Rev. Jae Park

Description: We will be partnering with the Abraham Project, which is located in Villas de Ayarco (about 25 miles from Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose).  The Abraham Project is an all encompassing ministry reaching out to Costa Ricans by attending to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.  Their ministry began in 2001, when they received 2.5 acres of land as a donation.  Local companies donate shipping crates, which are then disassembled and prepared so that they can be used for building.  The Abraham Project’s vision is to build homes and provide motherly and fatherly care to orphaned children.  During our stay, the team will be participating  in the building process and spending time with the children.
